Reject the PBM Consolidation. Tell Gov. Youngkin to Keep Competition in Virginia’s Medicaid System

Fill out form below to tell Governor Youngkin to preserve market competition:

Background:

The Governor is being asked to sign a bill that will result in higher drug costs for the state of Virginia!

HB 2610 and SB 875 would mandate the state to select just one company to manage drug benefits for Virginians on Medicaid, rather than allow multiple companies to compete. This would create a monopoly, resulting in less incentive for the state’s Medicaid drug managers to negotiate with drug makers or pass along savings back to Medicaid members or the state.

Just after Governor Youngkin got Virginia out of a $632 million Medicaid shortfall, HB 2610 and SB 875 threatens to shove the state back into the hole.

Tell Governor Youngkin to promote market competition and stop HB 2610 and SB 875 from becoming law!
